Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using uppercase letters in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 it received a raving review from bloggers and music critics and the press. She has recorded several high-profile songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which are widely loved. Katy Perry, who endorsed the track Runaway by her, has given her the track a little more attention. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano in her basement and becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music as a passion rather than as a job. The Aksnes family encouraged her to compose. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with a love for Bjork's style. Her mom encouraged her to play her songs in public, not so that she could be famous, but to help others realize the importance of their work and the good they do to make a difference in the world. The mother of her child suggested that she be able to perform her music publicly in order in order to make people aware of their own importance and how they could impact the world. It was not until she turned 14 that she told her parents. Aurora's accomplishments were never the goal of her. She just loves to write songs. For her music, it is the most efficient method of expressing anything.
