Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 on the 15th of June, 1996 at Stavanger) is an Norwegian artist and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well reviewed by various music websites. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two covers worth noting that the artist has done. Katy Perry's support for her song Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional acknowledgement. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano hidden in the basement, and being fascinated at the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music not to get an income or as a pastime however, as a chance to improve. To achieve this she started writing her own new compositions. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as being her influences. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote were not meant to gain fame for her rather to help people to realize their own value and impact on our world at large, she began performing them publicly. She was suggested by her mother to sing her songs in public to help people realize their importance and the ways they can affect the world. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known by her family until she was fourteen. Aurora never dreamed of being a famous singer. The only thing she loves is to compose music. She claims that music is her preferred method to feel anything.
