Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and often stylized with lowercase letters, such in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release from Decca Records. It has been praised by the music press and bloggers. Half the World Away from Oasis was released by the group Oasis was made for an advertisement of John Lewis, and Nature Boy is the Nat King Cole cover. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard in her loft, and becoming fascinated by its music. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to play music only for pleasure or as a means of development but instead, she was encouraged to explore it. Her parents advised her to compose. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her favourite composers. When her mother told her that the songs she wrote were not meant to gain fame for her but instead to inspire individuals to recognize their own value and impact to our world at large, she began singing them in public. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument when she was six. She started creating music after turning nine. The family did not be aware until fourteen. It was never a dream to become Aurora. She claims that she simply enjoys writing songs. According to her, music is the most effective way to express anything.
